Penalties Prove Costly in Caps Loss

The Caps lost a close game last night 3-2 to the defending Western Conference champion Detroit Red Wings.   The go-ahead goal came under seven minutes in the 3rd period on a powerplay goal by Tomas Holmstrom.  Mike Green was in the box during the goal after getting his 6th minor penalty in five games, and his second of the evening, leaving Caps Coach Bruce Boudreau singing the woos about his team’s penalty problems.
